Police are appealing for information after a serious collision in Birmingham left a pedestrian with significant injuries.
Serious Incident Outside Busy Coach Station
A man in his 60s was struck by a double-decker bus outside Digbeth Coach Station at approximately 4.45pm on Monday, 1 December. Emergency services rushed to the scene on Mill Lane following multiple 999 calls reporting the collision between the pedestrian and the vehicle.
Victim in Stable Condition Following Treatment
West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed one ambulance crew attended and treated the man for potentially serious injuries. He was then transported to the Midland Metropolitan University Hospital for further care. West Midlands Police has since provided an update, stating the man remains in a stable condition in hospital.
Pictures from the scene showed an NX West Midlands bus with a smashed windscreen stopped at a crossing on Digbeth High Street following the incident.
Ongoing Police Investigation and Witness Appeal
Officers are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the crash. A police spokeswoman told BirminghamLive they were called just before 4.50pm on 2 December to the scene.
