A man and a woman were rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a car crashed into a tree in Wolverhampton. The incident occurred in the early hours of Monday, June 1, when a silver Peugeot 208 struck a tree on Loxdale Street, near the junction of Oxford Street in Bilston, at approximately 2:30 AM.
Injuries sustained
The two individuals, a man and a woman, were taken to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. West Midlands Police confirmed that their conditions are not believed to be life-threatening.
Police appeal for witnesses
Authorities have launched an appeal for information regarding the collision. A spokesperson for West Midlands Police stated: "We're appealing for information following a collision in Bilston earlier this week. A silver Peugeot 208 hit a tree on Loxdale Street, near the junction of Oxford Street, at around 2:30 AM on Monday. A man and a woman were taken to hospital with serious injuries. They're not believed to be life-threatening."
Police are particularly keen to hear from anyone who was traveling through the area at the time and may have dash-cam footage that could assist in establishing the full circumstances of the crash.
