Car Crashes Into Tree in Birmingham
Two men have been injured after the car they were travelling in crashed into a tree in Birmingham. The incident occurred on Wednesday night, prompting a response from emergency services.
West Midlands Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service attended the scene on College Road, Kingstanding, at around 10:30pm on 15 November.
Emergency Services Respond
Upon arrival, paramedics found two men trapped inside the vehicle. Firefighters from West Midlands Fire Service also attended to help free the occupants.
The men, both aged in their 20s, were treated at the scene for injuries described as non-life-threatening. They were then transported to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham for further treatment.
Police Investigation Underway
West Midlands Police have launched an investigation into the cause of the crash. A spokesperson for the force said: "We are working to establish the circumstances that led to this collision. Anyone with information or dashcam footage is urged to come forward."
The road was closed for several hours while emergency services worked at the scene and investigators examined the vehicle.
Community Concerns
Local residents have expressed concerns about road safety on College Road. One resident, who wished to remain anonymous, said: "It's a busy road and accidents happen too often. We need better safety measures."
No other vehicles were involved in the crash, and no arrests have been made at this stage.
