Woman, 20, Dies in Crash After Audi Hits Parked Range Rover

A 20-year-old woman from the Midlands has died following a collision between an Audi and a parked car in Cheshire. The incident occurred on Newcastle Road near Little Moreton Hall shortly before 10pm on Friday, May 1.

Crash Details

A black Audi was traveling along Newcastle Road towards Congleton when it left the carriageway and collided with a silver Range Rover that was parked in a layby. Emergency services were called to the scene at approximately 9:55pm.

Three occupants inside the Audi sustained serious injuries and were taken to hospital. A fourth passenger, a 20-year-old woman from the Chell area of Staffordshire, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. One person from the Range Rover also required hospital treatment for injuries.

Police Investigation

Cheshire Police have launched an investigation and are appealing for witnesses. Detective Sergeant Iain Condliffe said: "I would urge anyone who witnessed the collision and has not yet spoken to police to contact us. The same applies to anyone with dash cam footage that may assist our investigation."

Officers are particularly keen to speak to anyone who saw the black Audi or the silver Range Rover in the area prior to the crash. Anyone with information is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 or via the police website, quoting incident number IML 2320247.
