North West Entrepreneurs Launch AI Platform to Connect Neurodivergent Talent with Global Firms
Neurodivergent Talent Platform Launched by North West Entrepreneurs

North West Entrepreneurs Unite to Transform Neurodivergent Recruitment

Three visionary entrepreneurs from the North West have launched a groundbreaking tech startup aimed at revolutionizing how neurodiverse individuals access employment opportunities with the world's largest corporations. Kevin Blair, Mike Hulse, and Ben Usher have founded Neurovirse, an AI-driven recruitment platform with the powerful mission of turning "stigma to superpower."

Addressing a Critical Gap in the Job Market

The founders argue that traditional job platforms and corporate recruitment programs are often ill-suited for neurodivergent candidates, leading to a significant loss of talent for businesses. Neurovirse seeks to bridge this gap by developing a specialized platform that connects neurodiverse individuals with enterprise-level companies—global giants employing hundreds or thousands of people.

Ben Usher, one of the co-founders, emphasized the platform's core objective: "Our mission is 'from stigma to superpower'—so it's to give these candidates access to jobs in these kind of enterprise environments." He added that Neurovirse aims to assist over a million candidates globally, providing them with opportunities at some of the world's largest firms.

Leveraging AI to Overcome Recruitment Barriers

Neurodiversity encompasses neurological differences such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and dyspraxia. According to Neurodiversity Celebration Week, many challenges faced by neurodivergent people stem from environments and systems designed by the majority population. Ben Usher highlighted specific issues in current recruitment processes:

  • Multi-stage assessments involving large groups or panel interviews
  • Tasks that may not accommodate diverse cognitive styles
  • Systems primarily tailored for neurotypical candidates

In response, Neurovirse's platform allows candidates to complete an assessment that generates a "success profile." Advanced AI algorithms then match these profiles with companies seeking specific roles, effectively bypassing conventional recruitment hurdles. Initial feedback from users has been overwhelmingly positive.

Founders Bring Diverse Expertise to the Venture

The trio behind Neurovirse brings a wealth of experience from the recruitment and technology sectors:

  1. Kevin Blair and Mike Hulse have held senior positions at major firms including Salesforce, IBM, Microsoft, Ricoh, and Ericsson.
  2. Ben Usher, originally from Wirral, transitioned from a childhood acting career—featuring roles in Hollyoaks, Grange Hill, and Nerf gun advertisements—to senior recruitment roles at the University of Manchester, Manchester United, and The Very Group.

Launched during Neurodiversity Celebration Week, the startup is now focused on fundraising to expand its global reach. With a clear vision and innovative technology, Neurovirse is poised to make a substantial impact on inclusive hiring practices worldwide.
