Santander Offers £100 Amazon Voucher Without Account Switching
Santander's £100 Amazon Voucher: No Switch Needed

In a welcome break from tradition, high street bank Santander is handing customers a free £100 reward without forcing them to switch their main current account. This offer provides a straightforward path to a valuable Amazon gift card, bypassing the usual hassle of transferring direct debits and salary payments.

How to Claim Your £100 Reward

The requirements to secure the £100 Amazon voucher are refreshingly simple. According to the team at Martin Lewis's Money Saving Expert (MSE), you need to open a new Santander current account via special links on comparison sites. This is available to both new and existing customers.

Once your account is open, you must make 30 transactions using the associated debit card within 60 days. MSE suggests that if this sounds like a lot, you can split your regular supermarket shops into multiple smaller payments to meet the target quickly.

After fulfilling the spending requirement and keeping the account open, you will receive a link to claim your £100 Amazon voucher from February 12, 2026. It is crucial to note that the offer is not available directly through Santander and can only be accessed via specific aggregator and comparison site links.

Which Santander Account is Right for You?

Money Saving Expert has analysed the available accounts to help you choose. For those solely interested in the voucher, the Everyday current account is the best option as it has no monthly fees.

However, if you are looking for more long-term benefits, consider the Edge account. It costs £3 per month but pays 1% cashback on bills like council tax and energy, up to a maximum of £10 per month. Its debit card also offers excellent exchange rates for spending abroad.

For households with larger bills, the Edge Up account offers a higher cashback limit of £15 per month for a £5 monthly fee. Finally, the Edge Explorer account is a packaged account costing £17 per month that includes various insurance products.

Expert Insight on the Unusual Offer

Alastair Douglas, CEO of TotallyMoney, highlighted the uniqueness of this promotion. Unlike the usual incentives, you won't need to shut down your old account or use the Current Account Switch Service, he confirmed.

Instead, you just need to make 30 debit card transactions, which can include everyday contactless payments, physical purchases, and online shopping. This means you might not need to change your spending habits at all, just the card you use to pay.

This offer comes just days after Santander ended a previous promotion, signalling the bank's active push to attract new customers with competitive and convenient deals.
