The summer season is now underway, but holidaymakers face disruption as ten travel firms have collapsed, cancelling holidays and affecting trips. The Iran war, which began in February, has caused fuel prices to skyrocket, hitting consumers hard and putting pressure on travel operators.
Major Airlines Affected
Even major airlines like Easyjet, which flies from Birmingham, are not immune. In May, Easyjet reported a first-half loss of £552 million ($741.39 million) and said its full-year outlook remains uncertain due to rising fuel costs and weaker summer bookings.
