West Midlands Safari Park has announced a significant expansion of its overnight accommodation, responding to what it calls 'overwhelming demand' from visitors. The popular Worcestershire attraction will open eight new luxury lodges in 2026, bringing its total overnight offering to 38 unique accommodations.
New Lodges and Exciting Conversions
The development includes the construction of four brand-new Rhino Safari Lodges, which will be situated in a fresh area along the park's famous Safari Drive. In a parallel move, four of the park's existing lodges will be transformed into new Giraffe Safari Lodges. This strategic expansion directly addresses the soaring popularity of the park's sleepover experiences.
Each lodge is meticulously designed to blend modern comforts with an immersive wildlife adventure. Guests can expect elegant interiors, spacious living areas, and, most importantly, panoramic views directly into the animal habitats. The two-storey Rhino Lodges and the converted Giraffe Lodges will feature balconies on both ground and first floors, allowing visitors to observe these magnificent creatures from the privacy of their accommodation.
An Exclusive Wildlife Experience
A stay at these safari lodges is an all-inclusive experience. The package features a three-course dinner and breakfast, ensuring a hassle-free and luxurious visit. Perhaps the most coveted perk is the exclusive after-hours access to sections of West Midlands Safari Park, offering a rare, tranquil perspective of the grounds when the daytime crowds have departed.
The lodges overlook a variety of species, enhancing the appeal for animal lovers. Alongside the headline giraffes and rhinos, views can include cheetahs, elephants, red pandas, tigers, lions, hippos, and the park's majestic white lions. Guests in the Giraffe Lodges might even spot baby giraffe, Namara.
Pricing and Booking Details
With bookings already open, prospective guests should note the pricing structure. Stays in the current Giraffe Lodges begin at £509 per night for two guests. The new Rhino Lodges offer a slightly lower starting point, with prices from £449 per night. This investment secures a truly unique short break in the heart of the English countryside, combining luxury with an unforgettable connection to nature.
The park's decision to expand follows the clear success of its existing lodge offerings. This 2026 development underscores West Midlands Safari Park's commitment to providing world-class, immersive wildlife tourism, setting a new standard for safari experiences in the UK.
