UK Travel Company Collapses: No Refunds for Holidays

UK Travel Company Enters Liquidation with Holidays Cancelled

A UK travel company has collapsed, resulting in the cancellation of all holidays and leaving passengers without refunds. Regen Central Ltd, which specialized in package holidays to destinations such as Europe, South East Asia, and the Middle East, has entered liquidation, dealing a significant blow to UK tourists.

ATOL Protection Withdrawn, Refunds Unavailable

Records indicate that the company's ATOL protection was withdrawn on January 13, 2026. This licensing is mandatory for all tour companies in the UK and guarantees customer refunds in the event of a collapse. A spokesman for the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) stated, "We understand the company had no outstanding ATOL-protected bookings."

The CAA spokesperson explained, "Bookings sold as accommodation only, non-flight packages, and flight only bookings for which tickets were issued are not protected by the ATOL scheme. As there are no outstanding ATOL-protected bookings, no refunds will be issued."

Passengers who believe they are owed a refund for an ATOL-protected booking under Regen Central Ltd's ATOL are advised to contact the CAA via email at claims@caa.co.uk.

Broader Context: Jet Fuel Supply Concerns

This collapse occurs amid warnings from experts about dwindling jet fuel supplies, with just weeks left before airlines potentially start running out. Earlier this week, the head of the International Energy Agency highlighted that vital supplies remain blocked by conflict in Iran and the Middle East, involving the United States, Israel, and Iran.

Airlines UK, representing major carriers like British Airways, easyJet, and Ryanair, commented, "We are talking to the Government about crucial measures that will be needed to support aviation in the event of fuel disruption." The organization added that there is currently no disruption to jet fuel supplies.

A Labour Party government spokesman said, "We continue to engage with British airlines to support their operations against the backdrop of war in the Middle East, and to limit the impact on passengers."
