A selection of homes requiring renovations are set to be auctioned off this month, with several family properties in popular suburbs across south-west Birmingham featuring attractive starting prices in Bond Wolfe's upcoming auction. These include a three-bedroom, semi-detached house at 105 Nigel Avenue in Northfield, which will have a guide price of just £25,000+ in the livestreamed auction on Thursday, 26th March.

Craig Upton, marketing director at Bond Wolfe, explained that the low prices reflect the need for modernisation, making these properties appealing targets for bidders. "This is a great example of the family homes in our next auction where the need for refurbishment results in low starting prices that will prompt competitive bidding," said Upton. "Many properties are in and around popular suburbs in south-west Birmingham, where homes of this nature can often sell for £300,000 or more."

The Nigel Avenue house features a front garden with potential for driveway parking, subject to planning permission for a dropped kerb. This leasehold property includes a hall, two reception rooms, and a kitchen downstairs, with a landing, bedrooms, and bathroom upstairs, plus rear gardens, and has over seven years remaining on its 99-year lease.

Additional Properties in the Auction

Another family home likely to attract bidders is a three-bedroom, mid-terraced property at 25 Hole Farm Way in Kings Norton, with a guide price of £55,000+. This freehold property offers a hall, reception room, dining kitchen, and guest toilet downstairs, with a landing, bedrooms, and bathroom upstairs. It includes gas central heating, double glazing, front and back gardens, and a driveway, though modernisation is required.

Not far away, at 142 Green Acres Road in Kings Norton, a three-bedroom, semi-detached house has a guide price of £75,000+. This freehold property features a porch, hall, two interconnected reception rooms, and a kitchen downstairs, with a landing, bedrooms, and bathroom upstairs. It also has gas central heating, double glazing, front and back gardens, and a driveway, but needs updating.

Further south in Longbridge, a three-bedroom, semi-detached house at 134 Coney Green Drive is listed with a guide price of £69,000+. This freehold property, potentially suitable for development subject to planning permission, includes a driveway, garage, and gardens front and back. Inside, there is a porch, hall, reception room with dining area, and kitchen downstairs, with a landing, bedrooms, and bathroom upstairs. Gas central heating and double glazing are present, but modernisation is necessary.

Back in Northfield, another three-bedroom, semi-detached house at 152 Central Avenue has a guide price of £75,000+. This freehold property offers a porch, hall, through reception room, kitchen, and utility with store downstairs, with a landing, bedrooms, and bathroom upstairs. It includes gas central heating, double glazing, and front and rear gardens, although refurbishment works are required.
