Devon Flapjack Maker Flapjackery Opens Permanent Shop in Bath

Devon-based flapjack business Flapjackery is set to open a permanent retail location in the historic city of Bath. This new store, situated on the iconic Pulteney Bridge, marks a significant expansion for the bakery chain after a successful period operating as a pop-up shop in the area.

Strategic Location and Community Engagement

Co-founder Ms Myott highlighted the advantages of the Bath branch's prominent setting on Pulteney Bridge, which attracts a diverse mix of customers from across the United Kingdom and international visitors. The proximity to Bath Rugby is expected to drive regular matchday footfall, boosting sales and visibility.

Ms Myott explained, “Pulteney Bridge brings together a wide mix of customers from across the UK and overseas. Many are new to flapjacks, so we take the time to introduce them properly. It is always encouraging to see people return shortly afterwards to take more home with them.”

Local Support and Excitement

Shop manager Janine Pickett, who has been with Flapjackery for three years, expressed enthusiasm about the permanent establishment. “It’s so exciting for us to be here permanently. The shop looks fantastic and I can’t wait to welcome everyone in,” she said.

Pickett added, “We have a really loyal local following here. People walk past and pop in to say hello, and the neighbouring shopkeepers are always coming in too. There’s a lovely community feel on the bridge.”

Company Background and Product Range

Flapjackery was founded a decade ago by Ms Myott and Sally Jenkin. The business has grown to include branches in several locations across the UK, such as Tavistock, Falmouth, Dartmouth, Minehead, Wells, Plymouth, St Ives, Lymington, Fowey, and Sidmouth.

The bakery is renowned for its extensive range of flapjack flavours, which include:
