Tyneside Tech Firm MySalesCoach Lands £1.5m Investment for International Push

A Newcastle-based technology company specialising in sales coaching has secured a significant £1.5 million investment to accelerate its international growth strategy. MySalesCoach, which combines artificial intelligence with human expertise, will use the funding to develop its platform and expand its sales and marketing operations globally.

Investment Details and Strategic Vision

The investment package includes £1 million from NPIF II – Maven Equity Finance, managed by Maven as part of the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund II, alongside £500,000 from existing investors Northstar Ventures and Creative UK’s North East Fund. This financial injection arrives at what company leadership describes as a pivotal moment for the business.

Kevin Beales, co-founder and CEO of MySalesCoach, emphasised the unique opportunity presented by blending AI with human coaching. "Our platform is re-engineering how sales teams can be coached with the daily frequency of AI, and the impact of human expertise to impact growth and performance in a way previously unachievable," he stated. "With this backing we’re ready to scale and support more organisations and individuals who want to improve sales outcomes in a rapidly evolving market."

Market Context and Investor Confidence

David Nixon, senior investment manager at Maven Equity Finance, highlighted the growing demand for remote coaching solutions. "The rise in hybrid working has accelerated the adoption of online training and coaching," he noted. "Kevin and the senior team are highly experienced and have built a strong business operating in a high growth market. We’re delighted to support the platform at this point in the company’s development."

Sarah Newbould, senior investment manager at the British Business Bank, connected the investment to broader economic strategies. "Through NPIF II we’re committed to supporting innovative, tech-enabled businesses across the North of England to scale and grow at pace," she explained. "MySalesCoach is doing exactly that straight out of Newcastle, and we’re proud to be part of their journey and unlocking opportunity across the North East’s vibrant technology sector."

Company Background and Future Prospects

Founded three years ago by tech entrepreneur Kevin Beales and co-founder Mark Ackers, MySalesCoach was designed to help time-poor sales managers connect their teams with expert coaches. The platform has evolved to integrate AI, creating a hybrid model that delivers frequent, data-driven insights alongside personalised human guidance.

This latest funding round follows several previous investments and comes as the British Business Bank announces additional capital deployment through NPIF II, bringing total investments to over £150 million. The move underscores the growing emphasis on supporting high-growth technology sectors in line with the Government’s Industrial Strategy.

As MySalesCoach prepares for international expansion, the company aims to leverage its unique combination of AI efficiency and human expertise to transform sales coaching practices worldwide, positioning Newcastle as a hub for innovative educational technology.
