Altrincham Carols Event Supports Trafford Food Bank

A heartwarming festive gathering brought the community of Altrincham together earlier this month, combining seasonal song with vital support for a local cause. Nearly 100 people assembled in the town centre for the inaugural ‘Carols on the Steps’ event, held in support of the Trafford Food Bank.

A Festive Evening of Song and Support

The event was hosted outside the Altrincham offices of law firm Aaron & Partners, which also operates from bases in Chester, Wirral, and Shrewsbury. They organised the evening in partnership with Bennett Brooks and Altrincham BID. The community was treated to live performances that filled the air with Christmas spirit, courtesy of the Roberts Bakery Brass Band and the Cheshire A Cappella Choir.

Community and Business Generosity

The primary aim of the festive evening was to gather support for the Trafford Food Bank, which works tirelessly to assist individuals and families across the borough, especially during the challenging Christmas period. The event successfully encouraged generous donations from both local businesses and residents, providing crucial resources to help the food bank continue its essential work.

Organisers Hail a Special Community Spirit

Helen Johnson, partner and head of marketing at Aaron and Partners, expressed her delight at the turnout and atmosphere. "It was fantastic to see so many people come together for our very first Carols on the Steps in Altrincham," she said. "The atmosphere on the evening was brilliant and really captured the community spirit that makes Altrincham such a special place."

Johnson extended her pride in the collaborative effort, stating, "We’re proud to have worked alongside Bennett Brooks and Altrincham BID to bring this event to life, while supporting Trafford Food Bank." She thanked all attendees and helpers for making the night a success and voiced hope that this would be the first of many such festive celebrations in Altrincham.

The successful event demonstrates the powerful impact of local partnerships and community goodwill, ensuring that the festive season brings tangible support to those in need within the Trafford area.
