Parkinson’s UK Seeks Volunteers for Rye Café

Parkinson’s UK is appealing for volunteers to support a new monthly Parkinson’s café in Rye, East Sussex. The group co-ordinator role will involve welcoming attendees, liaising with the venue, and sharing updates from the charity. The café aims to provide a relaxed, friendly space where people affected by Parkinson’s can meet others and access local peer support.

Volunteer Opportunity Details

Elisa Bienz, volunteer co-ordinator at Parkinson’s UK, said: “If you can spare a few hours a month, we would love to welcome you to volunteer with the Parkinson’s café in Rye. As well as making a real difference in your local community, volunteering is a great opportunity to gain new experiences and meet new people.”

Once established, the café will take place on the last Tuesday of each month at Hub on Rye Hill, Kiln Drive, Rye, TN31 7SQ, from 10.30am to 12pm.
