Taunton's Colour Run Returns for a Day of Family Fun and Fundraising
Each May, Taunton Racecourse undergoes a stunning transformation, becoming a vibrant hub as hundreds of runners, fundraisers, and costumed supporters gather to get coated in colour. This beloved annual tradition offers a fantastic day out for the whole family, all while raising vital funds for St Margaret's Hospice Care.
Event Details and Schedule
The charity has officially confirmed the Colour Run's return to the racecourse on Saturday, May 16. The daytime celebrations will kick off with the Bubble Toddle at 1.30pm, an event designed especially for young children and families. Children up to age five can take part in a 200m dash through a magical stream of bubbles.
This will be followed by the family-friendly Colour Run at 2pm. Participants can walk, jog, dance, or skip through clouds of colour and foam. The afternoon promises laughter, mass colour throws, live music, and delicious street food, creating an unforgettable experience for all attendees.
Celebrating a Decade of Joy
Shauna Booker, event manager at St Margaret's Hospice Care, expressed her excitement about the event. "The Colour Run has always been one of our most joyful events, and after 10 years, we really want to celebrate big this year. We're so excited to bring the community together again for a full day of colour."
"In the afternoon, we're excited to bring everyone together for a big colour throw inspired by the Holi festival to celebrate everyone crossing the finish line. It's going to be an amazing experience," she added.
