West Midlands Police attended to over 5,000 incidents of antisocial behaviour across Birmingham in 2025, according to data obtained through a Freedom of Information request.
ASB Incident Numbers by Area
The force responded to 5,290 incidents of antisocial behaviour (ASB) last year. Birmingham City Centre recorded the highest number of attended incidents at 445, while Sutton Four Oaks had the lowest with just 20.
Antisocial behaviour is defined under the Antisocial Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 as "behaviour by a person which causes, or is likely to cause, harassment, alarm or distress to persons not of the same household as the person."
Birmingham City Centre also had the highest number of reported ASB incidents at 635, while Four Oaks again had the lowest number of reports at 52.
Police Response and Action Plan
A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "We don’t tolerate anti-social behaviour in Birmingham or anywhere in the West Midlands, and we’re working with our partners every day to tackle it as we know the effect it can have on people’s lives."
The spokesperson added: "Specific patrols in hotspot areas are aimed at reducing ASB, and as well as providing visible reassurance, we’re targeting those suspected of being involved in crime and disorder. We have an ASB action plan, aiming to make communities safer by stopping, preventing, and responding to ASB – with a harm-focussed approach that puts victims’ needs first."
The force conducted a survey with 13,000 responses earlier this year to help inform local plans. They encourage residents to report concerns to local police officers.

West Midlands Police actively work with council partners and the wider community to address ASB concerns. The force has dedicated neighbourhood officers as part of the government's ‘neighbourhood policing guarantee’ introduced earlier this year.
