A Birmingham bar has released a statement following the tragic death of a man who fell from a height over the Bank Holiday weekend. The incident occurred at Henman & Cooper on Colmore Row shortly before 6pm on Sunday, May 3.

Details of the Incident

The victim, a man in his 40s, fell several floors within the building. He was rushed to hospital but sadly succumbed to his injuries the following day. West Midlands Police confirmed that the death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.

Bar's Response

On Tuesday, May 5, the venue expressed its sorrow over the incident, stating: “We are deeply saddened by the tragic incident that occurred at Henman & Cooper, which has resulted in the loss of a guest's life. A spokesperson for West Midlands Police added: “We were called to Colmore Row at around 6.20pm on Sunday after a man fell a number of floors within a building. The man, in his 40s, was taken to hospital but has since sadly died. Our thoughts are with his loved ones at this awful time. The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner.”
