A 29-year-old father who was critically injured in a hit and run in Birmingham has died in hospital. Thomas Brown, described by his family as the 'kindest soul', was hit by a car on Heath Way in Hodge Hill on the evening of 26 April.

He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital but police confirmed he passed away this week. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene and remains on the run.
