A 70-year-old man from Birmingham has been arrested following an incident at Aberavon Beach in Port Talbot, South Wales. South Wales Police officers responded to reports of anti-social behaviour at around 1:40 pm on Monday, July 20, and subsequently detained the pensioner.

A South Wales Police spokesperson stated: "Officers attended Aberavon beachfront at around 1:40 pm yesterday following a report of anti-social behaviour. Upon arrival the man concerned was identified to be subject to police bail conditions of which he was in breach. The man – 70 years old and from Birmingham – was also arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article. He is currently in police custody."
