The attack took place late on Friday, July 24, at the Camp Inn on Camps Lane. West Midlands Police confirmed that a woman sustained injuries and was treated at the scene. The arrested teenager has been released on bail with conditions while investigations continue.

The pub management released a statement to BirminghamLive: "We can confirm that there was an isolated incident at the pub on Friday evening, which has been reported to West Midlands Police. We have cooperated fully with the police, providing all the information available to us, and will continue to assist with their enquiries if requested. As this is now an active police investigation, it would not be appropriate for us to comment further on the circumstances of the incident. A West Midlands Police spokesperson said on Sunday, July 26: "We are investigating an assault where a woman was injured at a pub on Camps Lane, Kings Norton, late on Friday night (24 July). A girl aged 17 was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and has been bailed with conditions while enquiries continue.
