Blood-Stained Car Abandoned in Birmingham Prompts Probe

West Midlands Police cordoned off a road in Birmingham after a blood-stained car was discovered abandoned on Tuesday afternoon.

Incident on Millhouse Road

Officers were called to Millhouse Road in Yardley at around 4:35 PM on Tuesday, May 5, following reports of a suspicious vehicle that had been left unattended. The road was sealed off while investigations were conducted.

Further enquiries revealed that a man had been assaulted at a different location and subsequently made his own way to a hospital. His injuries were described by police as not life-changing.

Police Statement

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "We responded to reports of a car being abandoned with blood inside it on Millhouse Road, Yardley, yesterday afternoon just after 4:35 PM. A cordon was put in place and further enquiries found a man had reported being assaulted in a different location and had made his way to hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-changing. Our enquiries into what happened are continuing."

The investigation remains ongoing as police work to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
