West Midlands Police have issued an appeal to trace a man suspected of an attempted burglary in Willenhall, but the release of a blurry CCTV image has prompted a wave of online ridicule.

The attempted burglary occurred on Chaucer Avenue in Willenhall shortly after midnight on June 17. Police launched an investigation after a property was targeted, and they are seeking to speak to a man captured on CCTV.
However, the image shared by the force is extremely unclear, with only a vague outline of a person wearing a dark top visible. The poor quality has led to widespread mockery on social media.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police acknowledged the image's shortcomings in a statement. They said: "We appreciate the image isn't very clear but if you have any information about the incident please get in touch with us."
