A young boy who was seen alone at Sutton Coldfield railway station has been found safe after a brief police search. British Transport Police responded to reports of a child unaccompanied on the platform on Tuesday afternoon.

Officers arrived at the station shortly after receiving a call from a concerned member of the public at around 2:30 pm. The boy, believed to be aged around six or seven, was located within 30 minutes and was reunited with his family. No arrests were made, and police confirmed the child was not harmed.

Local residents expressed relief at the outcome. A British Transport Police spokesperson said, “We thank the public for their vigilance. We urge parents to ensure children are supervised near railway stations.” The incident has prompted renewed calls for increased safety measures at the station.
