West Midlands Police have launched a public appeal for information following a serious assault at a popular bar in the Digbeth area of Birmingham. The force has released a CCTV image of a man they urgently wish to trace in connection with the incident.

The assault occurred at Nortons bar on Meriden Street. According to police reports, a man was punched forcefully in the face during the altercation. The impact of the blow caused him to fall to the ground, resulting in significant injuries.
Severe Injuries Sustained
The victim did not escape the attack lightly. The fall led to a broken ankle, alongside substantial bruising. The incident has been described as a violent and unprovoked attack that left the individual requiring medical attention.

The attack took place at approximately 8pm on Boxing Day, December 26th. West Midlands Police confirmed that, as of now, no arrests have been made in relation to this case. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
