Police have confirmed that the death of a woman in Solihull is not being treated as suspicious. Officers were called to a medical emergency in Pike Drive, Chelmsley Wood, at around 3.30am on May 1.
Despite the efforts of police officers and paramedics, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. West Midlands Police stated that there were no suspicious circumstances and that a file is being prepared for a Birmingham and Solihull coroner to open an inquest.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called to a medical emergency in Chelmsley Wood at around 3.30am. Two ambulances, two paramedic officers and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire critical care car attended the scene. Upon arrival we found a woman in a critical condition being cared for by police on scene. Ambulance staff immediately began administering advanced life support to her. Despite their best efforts, it became clear that nothing more could be done to save her and she was confirmed deceased at the scene."
