Emergency services successfully rescued a person who fell from height in Digbeth, Birmingham, in the early hours of Monday, July 20. West Midlands Fire Service deployed three appliances, a Technical Rescue unit and a Hydraulic Platform to the scene.
Incident Details
The fire service first reported the incident at around 4am, stating: "We have three appliances, Technical Rescue and a Hydraulic Platform at a rescue incident in Digbeth. We are working with our HART and Police colleagues to safely resolve the incident. Please avoid the area if possible."
Shortly after, they confirmed the rescue: "Crews from Highgate, Billseley and Technical Rescue, working closely with HART and Police, have successfully rescued one person following a fall from height in Digbeth. They are now in the care of WMAS."
Response and Aftermath
The person was left in the care of paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service. No further details on the victim's condition have been released.
West Midlands Fire Service crews from Highgate and Billseley stations, along with specialist technical rescue teams, responded to the incident. The Hydraulic Platform was used to assist in the rescue operation.
