Doctor Charged with Sexual Assault to Appear in Court

A doctor is set to appear in court charged with sexual assault following an investigation by Staffordshire Police's rape and serious sexual offences unit.

Danial Moin Baloch, 30, of Worsley in Greater Manchester, was arrested in November 2024 after a woman reported a sexual assault to the force. He has now been charged with sexual assault.

Police have confirmed that Baloch is due to appear at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre in Newcastle-under-Lyme on July 28. A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "A doctor has been charged with a sexual assault following an investigation by our rape and serious sexual offences team. Doctor Danial Moin Baloch, 30, of Worsley, Manchester, has been charged with sexual assault. He was arrested in November 2024 after a woman reported a sexual assault to us and we began an investigation. Baloch is due to appear at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on 28 July."

The investigation was conducted by the force's specialist team that handles serious sexual offences. Further details about the case have not yet been disclosed. The court appearance will proceed as scheduled later this month.
