Fifth Arrest Made in Leeds Teenager Murder Investigation
A fifth person has been arrested in connection with the murder of 16-year-old Chloe Watson Dransfield from Gomersal, as her family releases a heartbreaking tribute to their beloved daughter and sister.
Details of the Arrest and Investigation
West Yorkshire Police confirmed that a 17-year-old boy was arrested earlier today on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody alongside four other individuals previously detained: two women aged 18, a man aged 19, and another 17-year-old boy. All those arrested are from Leeds.
Chloe tragically died in hospital on Saturday, March 28, after being found unconscious with stab wounds on Kennerleigh Avenue in Austhorpe at approximately 6am that morning.
Family's Emotional Tribute
Chloe's family issued a photograph and statement expressing their profound grief. Her mother wrote: "My beautiful princess Chloe. I cannot put into words how I feel that you are not here with me. You are my life, my world, my best friend and I know that I am yours. I cannot live without you - I need you."
She described Chloe as stunning, confident, loyal, honest, and family-oriented, with a bubbly personality that lit up any room. The statement continued: "There's a big hole in my heart that can never be filled. Your two sisters and big brother will always love and miss you to infinity."
Chloe's father added: "Our family is utterly devastated by the loss of Chloe. We miss every single thing about her. She was beautiful, full of joy, and had a wonderfully cheeky personality. She embraced life with such happiness, and she had her whole future ahead of her."
The tribute emphasized that Chloe was loved by everyone who knew her, leaving an immeasurable absence. The family vowed to miss her forever and ensure she is never forgotten.
