Halesowen Police have warned motorists that parking tickets are 'on the way' after officers patrolled Cradley and Wollescote over the weekend. The patrols, which targeted obstructive parking, resulted in several fines being issued.
Patrols in Response to Resident Concerns
Officers from Halesowen Police conducted obstruction patrols in the Cradley and Wollescote areas on Saturday and Sunday, May 16-17, after receiving complaints from local residents. The team identified multiple parking offences and issued tickets accordingly.
Examples of Poor Parking
The police shared images of some of the offending vehicles on social media. One photo showed a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Dropside parked partially over give way markings at a junction. Another captured an Audi parked entirely on the pavement, while a third depicted a Mercedes B-Class pulled up over most of the pavement next to a telegraph pole.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, May 17, the police stated: 'This evening Halesowen NHT have carried out obstruction patrols in and around Cradley and Wollescote, following concerns raised by local residents. Several offences were identified and tickets have been issued and will be on the way.'
The police urged motorists to park considerately to avoid fines and ensure the safety of pedestrians and other road users.
