Hit-and-Run Crash in Stirchley: Police Update

Two men arrested after a hit-and-run crash that injured a man in Birmingham have been bailed pending further inquiries. The victim, a man in his 30s, suffered leg injuries after being struck by a van on Mayfield Road, off Pershore Road in Stirchley, shortly after 10pm on Thursday, May 14.

He was rushed to hospital for treatment, West Midlands Police confirmed. The incident occurred following clashes between locals and the Raise the Colours group, who were in the area to put up flags.

A 44-year-old man was arrested by Metropolitan Police officers in London on suspicion of wounding in connection with the crash.
