Police investigating an attempted murder in Birmingham have released a suspect on conditional bail as their enquiries continue.

Violent Incident on Tansley Road

The investigation was launched after a man was discovered with serious injuries on Tansley Road in Kingstanding. The incident occurred shortly before 10pm on Sunday, December 28.

Emergency services rushed to the scene and the victim was taken to hospital for urgent treatment. A section of the residential road was sealed off by police for several hours as forensic teams gathered evidence.

Suspect Released Under Investigation

West Midlands Police confirmed that a 22-year-old man arrested in connection with the attack has been released on bail. He was detained on suspicion of attempted murder and driving while unfit through drink or drugs.

A force spokesperson stated: "A 22-year-old man has been bailed with conditions while enquiries continue."

Victim's Condition and Appeal for Information

The injured man remains in hospital. Authorities have described his condition as serious but stable.

Detectives are urging anyone with information to come forward. They are particularly keen to speak to witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage from the area around the time of the incident.
