A man in his 60s has died following a collision between a red Lambretta scooter and a Volkswagen Tiguan on the B4380 in Wroxeter, Shropshire. The incident occurred at approximately 1:48pm on Sunday, July 12, 2026.
Rider Pronounced Dead at Scene
West Mercia Police confirmed that the scooter rider was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported, and no arrests have been made in connection with the crash.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Authorities are urging anyone who was in the area at the time to come forward. In particular, officers are keen to speak with the occupants of a red Kia and a white Vauxhall Corsa, who may have information that could assist the investigation. These vehicles are not believed to have been involved in the collision.
According to a police spokesperson, “We are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information, including dashcam or CCTV footage, to contact us.”
