New Hub Promises Improved Coastal Safety
A unique beachfront hub dedicated to promoting coastal safety in Lincolnshire is being officially launched this summer. The Atlantis Alliance Hub, located at Queen's Park Beach Huts in Mablethorpe, aims to provide a central base for emergency services and support teams. The hub has been supported by a grant of £55,000 from the East Lindsey Investment Fund (ELIF), a £20 million scheme established by the district council in 2024 to improve life for residents and visitors in East Lindsey.
Multi-Agency Collaboration Under One Roof
Lincolnshire Police proposed the idea for the multi-agency hub, which brings together key services to respond to incidents and callouts. Already operational for several months, the hub serves as an operational base for emergency, support, and search and rescue services. Teams at the hub handle missing children and vulnerable adults, and provide information on beach and water safety, crime prevention, and caravan security.
Official Launch Event: Coastal Services Day
The official launch will take place on August 1, from 10am to 3pm, as part of a free 'Coastal Services Day' in Mablethorpe. The event will gather local and national organisations, including emergency services, coastal safety teams, and community groups, to highlight year-round safety efforts. Activities include free demonstrations, information stands, and interactive sessions on the Central Promenade between Mablethorpe Lifeboat Station and the Atlantis Alliance Hub. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Cllr Sarah Devereux, portfolio holder for partnerships at East Lindsey District Council, said: 'The official opening of the Atlantis Alliance Hub is an amazing achievement for all involved. Thanks to a generous grant from the East Lindsey Investment Fund, we can support this vital facility, which allows stronger partnership working and will help keep everyone safe all year around on our coast.'
Local Policing Chief Inspector Matt Bennison added: 'The launch of a multi-agency hub focused on coastal safety in Lincolnshire will help us provide a visible, reassuring presence to the public, allowing us to better co-ordinate our response to life saving incidents, keeping our residents and the millions of visitors we welcome each year safe, to enjoy our beaches and coastal resorts.'
