Police Arrest Man Following Knife Threat Reports in Wolverhampton
West Midlands Police swiftly apprehended a suspect on Monday night following alarming reports of a man brandishing a knife and making threats on a residential street in Wolverhampton.
Officers were dispatched to Prosser Street in the Park Village area at shortly before 11pm on November 10 after receiving calls from concerned members of the public.
Suspect Discovered and Arrested
Upon arrival at the scene, police conducted a search of the vicinity and located a man attempting to conceal himself behind a wall nearby. The individual did not resist and was taken into custody without further incident.
The arrested man, aged 22, was subsequently detained on suspicion of two serious offences: making threats to kill and possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply.
Ongoing Investigation and Police Statement
The suspect spent the night in police custody where he was questioned extensively about the alleged offences. The investigation into the disorder is continuing.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police confirmed the details, stating: "Officers were called to Prosser Street shortly before 11pm after a man was seen with a knife, making threats outside of a property. On arrival, police found a man hiding behind a wall nearby and he was arrested."
