Major Police Operation Leads to Drug Charges Across Midlands
A 29-year-old man has been charged with multiple drug supply offences following a significant police operation that spanned three counties in the Midlands region. Jordan Smith was arrested during coordinated raids conducted by the County Lines Taskforce at addresses across Birmingham, Warwickshire, and Leicestershire.
Widespread Raids and Seizures
Officers executed warrants at multiple locations yesterday, resulting in the arrest of Smith from The Print Works in Warwick. Following the arrest, further searches were carried out, leading to the seizure of substantial quantities of illegal drugs.
Police confiscated cocaine, heroin, and crack-cocaine during the operation. Additionally, officers recovered weapons including a knuckle duster and three knives, along with mobile phones linked to drug dealing activities, quantities of cash, and jewellery.
Multiple Charges Filed
Jordan Smith now faces five serious charges related to drug supply and possession of criminal property:
- Being concerned in the supply of heroin between August 1, 2025, and February 18, 2026
- Being concerned in the supply of crack-cocaine between August 1, 2025, and February 18, 2026
- Being concerned in the supply of cannabis between February 4, 2026, and February 18, 2026
- Being concerned in the supply of cocaine between February 4, 2026, and February 18, 2026
- Possession of criminal property
The 29-year-old has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court today.
Police Statement on Operation
Detective Sergeant Gavin McGrath from the County Lines Taskforce commented on the operation, stating: "This was a significant, widespread operation, which our officers worked quickly to plan and execute - a testament to their professionalism."
He added: "There was a large-scale police presence for this operation, and we're grateful for the support as we work to tackle the supply of drugs."
The operation represents a major effort by law enforcement to combat drug supply networks in the Midlands region, with coordinated action across multiple jurisdictions resulting in significant seizures and charges.
