Emergency response
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said: 'We were called to a road traffic collision involving a lorry and a pedestrian at the junction of Wombourne Park and Bridgnorth Road at 7.59am. We sent two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance to the scene. On arrival, crews found a man in a critical condition and immediately began administering advanced life support. Road closures and diversions
A picture posted on Wombourne Online's Facebook page showed part of the road blocked off by police. Motorists were warned that 'all routes look to be busier than normal'. National Express West Midlands also took to X to say service 15 was diverting in both directions via Enville Road, Swindon Road and Wombourne Road due to the collision.
