A man has tragically died following a collision between a moped and a car in Shropshire. The incident occurred on the B4380 in Eaton Constantine, near Shrewsbury, on Sunday afternoon, July 12.
Emergency response
West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) received a call at 1:49pm and dispatched one ambulance and a paramedic officer to the scene. Upon arrival, crews found the moped rider with serious injuries.
Despite their efforts, nothing could be done to save the man, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. A spokesperson for WMAS said: "A man has died following a RTC involving a car and a moped in Eaton Constantine, yesterday (Sunday). West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the B4380 at 1.49pm and sent an ambulance and a paramedic officer to the scene."
Details of the incident
The spokesperson added: "On arrival, crews found a man, the moped rider. Sadly, it quickly became apparent nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene." The road was closed for investigation, and police are appealing for witnesses.
