West Midlands Police have launched an investigation after a pedestrian was struck by a car in Walsall in the early hours of Friday, July 10. The victim, a man in his 60s, was found on Court Way with injuries described as potentially life-changing.
Officers were called to the scene just after midnight. Paramedics treated the man before rushing him to hospital, where he remains in a serious condition. Police confirmed that the driver, a man in his 20s, stayed at the scene and was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving. He remains in custody as inquiries continue.

Detectives are speaking with witnesses and reviewing CCTV footage from the area. They are urging anyone who was in Court Way around the time of the incident to come forward. Drivers with dashcam footage are also asked to check their recordings.
