Police have launched an investigation after a man suffered a broken arm in an attack in Birmingham city centre.

Details of the incident

The incident took place in the early hours of Sunday, 12 March, in the area around Broad Street. The victim, a man in his 20s, was approached by a group of individuals and assaulted, leaving him with a broken arm.

West Midlands Police said the victim was taken to hospital for treatment following the attack. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, but he has been left shaken by the ordeal.

Appeal for witnesses

Officers are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the attack or has any information to come forward. They are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the area at the time and saw what happened.

Detective Sergeant Steve Williams, from West Midlands Police, said: “This was a nasty attack that has left a young man with a serious injury. We are determined to find those responsible and bring them to justice.”

“We would urge anyone who was in the Broad Street area in the early hours of Sunday morning and saw anything suspicious to get in touch with us. Even the smallest piece of information could be vital to our investigation.”
