Man Slashed with Knife and Hit with Knuckle Duster in Park Attack

A man was slashed across his back with a knife in a horrific ordeal in the Black Country, police have said. The victim, who is in his 30s, was also hit with a knuckle duster in the incident.

Attack at Wednesfield Park

The attack unfolded at Wednesfield Park on the afternoon of Sunday, April 26. Police said that the man was taken to hospital following the assault. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening, a spokesperson for West Midlands Police said.

They added in a statement: "We're investigating after a man in his 30s sustained head and back injuries after being attacked in Wolverhampton. The man was taken to hospital after it's understood he was slashed across his back with a knife, and struck with a knuckle duster, in Wednesfield Park on Sunday afternoon. Thankfully, his injuries are not life-threatening."

Appeal for Information

Anyone with information about the incident has been asked to contact police as soon as possible.
