Teenager's Supermarket Toilet Ordeal

A teenage student was left terrified for her life after a man screamed violent threats in the women's toilets of a Sainsbury's supermarket in Staffordshire.

The incident occurred at the Liverpool Road store in Newcastle-under-Lyme shortly after 3pm on Monday, November 10.

Disturbing Details of the Incident

According to the girl's mother, who shared details on Facebook, her daughter was in a cubicle when a man in a neighbouring stall bellowed, 'I'm going to f***ing stab you'.

The frightened teenager immediately fled the toilets and found her parents, who had just arrived at the store. The family promptly alerted store security and the manager.

CCTV footage was reviewed and confirmed a hooded man leaving the ladies' toilets around the time of the incident.

'She was terrified. In her words she thought she was going to die,' the mother said. 'Luckily she ran out straight to us. We contacted the police when we got home.'

Police Investigation Underway

Staffordshire Police were called at 8.40pm on November 10 and have launched a full investigation.

A police spokesman confirmed: 'A woman reported that her teenage daughter had heard a man shouting in a woman’s toilet cubicle at around 3pm that day, causing her distress and alarm. It is not known who the man was shouting at.'

Officers visited the store on Tuesday, November 11 to liaise with security staff and review CCTV footage.
