Detectives in Birmingham are urgently seeking a man after a nine-year-old girl was attacked by a dog, leaving her with severe injuries. The incident occurred on Springthorpe Green in Erdington on November 16 last year, when the youngster was bitten on her leg and arm, sustaining deep puncture wounds. She was subsequently taken to hospital for treatment.
Wanted Suspect Identified
West Midlands Police have identified Chad Cooper, aged 33 and from Birmingham, as a suspect in connection with the attack. Despite multiple attempts to speak with him, officers have been unable to locate him. The force is now appealing to the public for assistance in tracking him down.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “We need your help finding Chad Cooper, aged 33, from Birmingham, after a girl aged nine was attacked by a dog in Birmingham. It happened on Springthorpe Green in Erdington on November 16 last year. The girl was taken to hospital after she was bitten on her leg and arm, causing deep puncture wounds. We have made a number of attempts to speak to Cooper, and now need the public’s help in finding him.”
Members of the public are urged to call 999 immediately if they see Cooper, quoting reference number 20/445485/25. Anyone with information about his whereabouts can also contact police on 101, or provide details anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
This incident has caused significant concern in the local community, and authorities are determined to ensure the individual responsible is brought to justice.
