A much-loved Midland father and bar owner has tragically died following a motorbike crash on the A454 near Bridgnorth in Shropshire. Andy Davenport, aged 47, was fatally injured when his BMW motorcycle struck a kerb and collided with a road sign on Sunday, March 1.

The incident occurred at approximately 12:30 pm on the A454 between Swancote and Stanmore. West Mercia Police confirmed that the rider, a 47-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. In a family statement, Andy was remembered as a devoted husband to Áine, father to his son Kavan, and son to Jenny and Jim. The tribute noted, "Doing what he loved, riding his bike and caring for his family." Funeral arrangements have been announced, with a service scheduled at Telford Crematorium on April 17 at 2:30 pm. A bike procession will be held from Shifnal services to Pattingham village, with family flowers only requested. Donations are being collected for the Air Ambulance via a GoFundMe page.

The bar 55 Wade Street also posted a tribute, stating, "We are heartbroken to share the sudden passing of Andy Davenport. This has come as a great shock, and our thoughts are with his wife Aine, his son Kavan, his father Jim, his mother Jen, and all of his family and loved ones at this incredibly difficult time."
