A distraught mother has made an emotional plea for the safe return of her teenage daughter, who has been missing for a week in Birmingham.

Cypress, 16, was last seen in the Kings Heath area seven days ago. West Midlands Police have stated that they are growing increasingly worried about her welfare.

Her mother, Danielle, expressed her desperation, saying that police have "no leads" and she is determined to find her daughter.

Cypress is described as being 5 feet tall and was last seen wearing a pink hoodie and grey joggers. Authorities are urging anyone who spots her to call 999 immediately.

Birmingham Police issued a public appeal online: "Have you seen Cypress? The 16-year-old is missing from the #Birmingham area, and we’re concerned for her welfare. She is around 5ft tall and was last seen wearing a pink hoodie and grey joggers. If you see Cypress call 999, quoting PID number 441953."

Police inquiries to locate her are ongoing.
