A pedestrian was left with potentially serious injuries after being hit by a car in Wolverhampton. The incident occurred on Waterloo Road just before 7pm on Wednesday, July 15, according to West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS).

Emergency response and treatment

Medics treated the man at the roadside before he was taken to New Cross Hospital for further care under emergency blue light conditions. A spokesperson for WMAS told BlackCountryLive: "We were called at 6.45pm to a road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian on Waterloo Road, Wolverhampton. One ambulance attended the scene. Upon arrival we found a man who was the pedestrian. He was assessed and had sustained potentially serious injuries. He received treatment at the scene before being conveyed to New Cross Hospital under emergency blue light conditions for further assessment."
