Plymouth teen stabbed in city centre, police appeal for witnesses

A serious stabbing has left a teenager in hospital after an attack in the heart of Plymouth on Friday evening.

Evening Attack in Busy Location

Emergency services rushed to the area around Notte Street and Athenaeum Street at approximately 6:50 pm on December 22 following reports of an assault. The young male victim sustained multiple stab wounds and was promptly taken to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment.

Devon and Cornwall Police have confirmed that the teenager remains in hospital receiving care. While his injuries are not currently considered life-threatening, the force has described the incident as extremely serious.

Police Reassure Public and Launch Investigation

Detectives are working at pace to identify and locate the person responsible for this violent act. No arrests have been made at this time. Officers have sought to reassure the local community, stating they believe this to be an isolated incident and that there is no wider threat to the public following this specific attack.
