West Midlands Police have issued a public appeal for assistance in connection with an assault on a woman that occurred on a street in Edgbaston, Birmingham. The incident took place on Gillott Road on Tuesday, July 22, last year, at approximately 6:20 pm.

Approaching seven months after the attack, investigators have released an image of a man they are keen to speak to regarding the assault. The individual is described as white and clean-shaven, with his hair tied back and wisps visible at the sides.

In the photograph, the man is wearing a distinctive black t-shirt featuring the word ORIGINAL in yellow on the front. Below this lettering, the number 1975 appears in black within a yellow rectangular block.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police stated: “Do you recognise this man? We want to speak to him after a woman was assaulted on Gillott Road, Birmingham. It happened on 22 July at around 6.20pm. Since then, we have made a number of enquiries as part of our investigation to identify the man.”
