Police appeal after woman punched in Darlaston robbery

Police are urgently appealing for witnesses and information following a violent street robbery in Walsall which left a woman with facial injuries.

Violent Assault on King Street

The incident occurred on King Street in Darlaston on the evening of Monday, 8 December. According to West Midlands Police, the victim was punched in the face during the robbery, sustaining a bruised and cut lip.

The attacker stole several items from the woman before fleeing the scene. The stolen property included:

  • Her mobile phone
  • A vape device
  • A Post Office card

CCTV Image Released in Public Appeal

In a bid to track down those responsible, detectives have released a CCTV image of a woman they wish to speak to in connection with the attack. The appeal was issued by the force on 3 January 2026.

The police statement read: "We would like to speak to her after a woman was assaulted and robbed on King Street, Darlaston, on the evening of 8 December. The lady was punched to the face causing bruising and a cut to her lip."

Officers acknowledged the clarity of the released image is not perfect but are hopeful someone in the community may recognise the individual pictured.
