Police officers in Wolverhampton were left stunned after discovering a nine-inch combat knife on a cyclist during a pursuit in the Heath Town area.
Chase and Detention
The male suspect attempted to flee from officers on his bike in Fowlers Park. Officers gave chase and eventually detained him. During the arrest, the suspect admitted to carrying a knife.
Weapon Recovery
Upon searching the suspect, officers recovered a nine-inch combat knife. The Project Guardian Team shared a photograph on social media showing the suspect face down on grass, with an officer holding the weapon's handle while another knelt nearby.
The Tipton Guardian team posted on X: "Tipton Guardian were in Heath Town/Fallings Park in Wolves yesterday and spotted a male whom attempted to flee from officers on his bike in Fowlers Park. Officers detained him, and admitted to officers he had a knife. A 9 inch combat knife was recovered!"
West Midlands Police are continuing their investigations. No further details about charges have been released at this time.
