Police have launched a public appeal to identify two individuals following a significant theft in a busy West Bromwich town centre. A shopper had a large amount of cash stolen from their handbag in broad daylight.
The Incident: A Brazen Town Centre Theft
The theft occurred on Tuesday, December 10, at approximately 11:30 am. The victim was shopping in the area of Kings Square, West Bromwich, when the incident took place. Officers from West Midlands Police have confirmed that a substantial sum of money was taken directly from the shopper's bag.
The Investigation: CCTV Images Released
Following initial enquiries, which included reviewing local CCTV footage, investigators have been unable to identify those responsible. As a result, the force has now taken the step of releasing a CCTV image of two people they urgently wish to speak to in connection with the crime.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police stated: "Do you recognise these two? We want to speak with them after a large amount of cash was stolen from a handbag of a person shopping around Kings Square in West Bromwich, at around 11.30am on December 10."
